The exceptions were in the Information Technology and the business process outsourcing industries where the Indian firms relied mostly on the visa holding workers. By a skills shortage. The CII reposted stated that the Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing industries seem to exhibit less dependence on the US workforce. This may be explained by the skills shortage in the US as well as the availability of a highly qualified Indian workforce that dominates the Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing sector that is not only the US but also globally.  To make the US economy, the CII study illustrates the contributions that Indian businesses makes it.By the Indian IT firms it also puts a bright line around the need of the Indian companies to have a ready access to the H-1B  and L-1 visas, the 10 percent hiring rate of the US workers access it.

The Indian companies are particularly worried about the long standing legislative efforts by the US Sens. Dick Durbin and Chuck Grassley that would limit H-1B holders to 50 percent of their US workforce. To the US and law makers including the 50 percent of their US workforce, the Indian companies are particularly worried about the longstanding legislative. From hiring any firm that sends work offshore, a democrat facing a close race against Republican John Kasich that issued an executive order prohibiting state agencies. The offshore firms posed unacceptable security risk. The strickland lost to Kasich and the executive order ended.

The differences between those who want the offshore outsourcing business and those who are fearful of it, in an interview the following was asked that she reconciled the differences. They are global and they have to look, it is going to be a plus for most of the community there. In an interview about the outlook on the effort by some law makers to increase the H-1B cap, the US Rep Joe Crowley, co chairman of the congressional Caucus on India-AMericans said that he plans ti support a cap increase but it was doubtful that it would happen as a part of the comprehensive immigration reform. They think that they can make some adjustments to the visa which he said that it is needed a help retain advanced degree graduates from the US universities.
